Johnny Harris, Elias Koteas, Tom Cullen join 'Last Days on Mars'

Johnny Harris, Elias Koteas and Tom Cullen have been cast in the sci-fi film Last Days on Mars.

The trio join previously announced stars Liev Schreiber, Olivia Williams and Romola Garai.



Focus Features is looking for buyers at the Cannes Film Festival but Universal Pictures is expected to release the movie in the UK, reports Variety.

Based on Sydney J Bounds's short story, Last Days on Mars follows a group of astronauts on a mission to Mars who find themselves infected by bacteria living on the planet before they leave for Earth.

The movie, written by Clive Dawson, will be directed by Ruairi Robinson.

The sci-film has begun shooting in Jordan and the UK with Yusra Warsama also joining the cast, according to The Wrap.

Harris can next be seen in Snow White and the Huntsman. Koteas's previous credits include Shutter Island and Let Me In, while Cullen starred in Weekend.

Snow White and the Huntsman opens on May 30 in the UK and June 1 in the US.
