'Departed' overtakes 'Prada' in UK

Cop thriller The Departed climbed to the top of the UK box office chart in its second week of release.
Earning £1.96m, the film overtook The Devil Wears Prada, which debuted at the top of the rankings the previous weekend. The Meryl Steep film gathered £1.87 in its second weekend.
The highest opener of the week was animated adventure Open Season. Meanwhile, the adaptation of Alan Bennett's The History Boys entered at fifth place, followed by horror prequel The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning in sixth.
