Bigelow's first feature since her Oscar-winning The Hurt Locker is a fictionalised take on the hunt for Osama Bin Laden.
Duplass is best known for his co-directing work with brother Jay Duplass on films such as Humpday and Jeff, Who Lives At Home.
He co-stars with Aubrey Plaza in Safety Not Guaranteed, which played at this year's Sundance and Sundance London film festivals.
