'King Kong' / Universal
Michael Bay's production company Platinum Dunes is behind the new version of the 1963 Alfred Hitchcock classic, along with Universal Pictures. Leslie Dixon, who wrote screenplays for the Freaky Friday and The Thomas Crown Affair remakes, is in charge of rewriting the script, based on a short story by Daphne Du Maurier.
Watts is no stranger to new versions of classic films. Having shot to fame with her dual performance in David Lynch's Mulholland Drive, Watts has since starred in remakes of Japanese horror film The Ring and classic adventure tale King Kong.
