Many critics have praised the film's visuals and use of 3D, although the reaction has overall been mixed-to-positive.

AP Galaxy, who are collating all reviews released so far, stated: "29 out of 37 reviews are overall positive. The film currently holds a 78% fresh score with a 6.8 average rating. The rating is calculated on a base-5 rule along with unrated reviews (positive considered a 100%, mixed negative a 40%, mixed positive a 60%, and negative a 0%)."
