The Sherlock star said that his time on the movie was one of the best experiences of his life, praising his fellow cast members, according to Trek Movie.
"[Star Trek was] amazing," Cumberbatch told BBC News while attending the BAFTAs. "One of the best four months of my life. It was just solid extraordinary fun from beginning to end.
"JJ Abrams is a god. And the rest of the cast and what we were asked to do in the film is blindingly brilliant," Cumberbatch continued. "I adore them all. It was a huge roller-coaster adventure and I can't wait for the world to see the film. I can't tell you anything about it, even what part I am playing."

Cumberbatch went on to say that he is refusing to address rumours he will be playing the villainous Khan in Star Trek 2.
"There is all sorts of speculation about all sorts of characters," he said. "It would be kind of spoiling it for everyone if I clarified anything. So I am going to leave it with a smile."
