The new trailer debuted on UK TV during the England-France Euro 2012 match today (June 11).
The Dark Knight Rises had previously posted on its UK Facebook page an update that featured a series of numbers.
The numbers - 11.06.12 17.45 - indicated the time and date the new trailer for the film would make its debut, which subsequently happened during half-time of the football.
Earlier this month, director Christopher Nolan along with stars Christian Bale, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Gary Oldman previewed a clip from the movie at the MTV Movie Awards.
The Dark Knight Rises opens to theatres on July 20.
