Ethan Hawke in first trailer for horror thriller 'Sinister' - video

Ethan Hawke's Sinister has released its first trailer.

The Exorcism of Emily Rose director Scott Derrickson's horror thriller follows a true crime novelist (Hawke) who moves his family into a house in which a vicious murder took place, in order to carry out research for his next story.


After he finds a box of home videos which involve other families being brutally murdered, he begins to fear that his own family are under threat.

The trailer, as released by STYD, shows Hawke along with co-stars Juliet Rylance, Clare Foley, Vincent D'Onofrio and James Ransone.

Sinister is released on October 5 in the US.
