'Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter' beats 'Prometheus' at UK box office

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter has topped the UK box office on its opening weekend on release.

The historical horror movie, which sees a pre-White House Lincoln attempt to rid America of blood suckers, takes in £1.1 million to narrowly ease past its nearest rival Men in Black III.

The Five-Year Engagement, the romantic comedy starring Jason Segel and Emily Blunt, enters the chart at number three.

Prometheus falls to four after three weeks at the top of the chart, while Snow White and the Huntsman completes the top five.

Elsewhere, the Oren Peli-produced horror movie Chernobyl Diaries bows at number seven with just under £500,000 in ticket sales. Bollywood film Teri Meri Kahaani is the only other new entry into the chart, debuting at number 9 with £190,000.
