Perry told MTV News that she doesn't consider opening up about her divorce from Russell Brand in the film to be "therapeutic".

"I wouldn't say it's so therapeutic, because the movie is so well-rounded with so many different things. I guess some of it is just hopefully an inspiration for people," she explained.
She continued: "When they see it, they are like, 'Oh, yeah, she goes through some s**t too. I can't dodge life's curve balls if Katy Perry can't dodge life's curve balls'."
Perry also said that she is looking forward to a hiatus after hitting the talkshow circuit and appearing at screenings across the US in the run-up to her movie's debut.
Katy Perry: Part of Me will be released on July 5.
