Marvel Studios' mystery film gets new release date

Marvel Studios' untitled 2014 film has had its release date changed.

The mystery project - rumoured to be Guardians of the Galaxy - has been moved from May 16 to August 1 of that year.

Disney gave rise to much speculation when it dated two Marvel movies for 2014. One was later confirmed as the sequel to Captain America: The First Avenger, while the other could be revealed at Comic-Con International this month.

Edgar Wright's Ant-Man and the proposed Black Panther film are also thought to be contenders for the 2014 slot.

Marvel's other upcoming movies include Iron Man 3 on May 3, 2013, and Thor 2 on November 15, 2013.

Disney previously confirmed that a sequel to The Avengers is also in the pipeline.
