Bond audition "a giggle", admits Craig
New 007 Daniel Craig has confessed that he didn't take his James Bond audition seriously.

Speaking on Virgin Radio's Christian O'Connell Breakfast Show this week, Craig spoke of the time when Casion Royale producer Barbara Broccoli first contacted him about playing the spy: "I hadn’t many ambitions to do this but Barbara gave me a call and said, 'Please come and say hello'. I thought this [would be a] bit of a giggle."

Craig added that he was not initially overwhelmed by Ian Fleming's novel: "I remember I got a copy of the book and I was reading on the tube. I got off the tube at Piccadilly, finished the last page, threw it in the bin and went - 'Well that was alright'."
