"Kind of like another character I've played [in American Pie], Crash hasn't changed a whole lot," Scott quipped, according to Flicks and Bits. "Maybe he's become more responsible, he has more responsibilities, I think."
"[His responsibility is] having to look after [wooly mammoth] Peaches, and what Crash thinks is parting good wisdom and advice to her," he continued. "But other than that, he's still a thrill seeker, he's still looking to have a good time and party... have fun with [brother] Eddie."
Scott also revealed that he was very pleased to be invited back for the latest Ice Age sequel.
"Working on the Ice Age movies, I'm really proud to be in them," he said.
"I grew up, probably like a lot of people, on cartoons. And I never thought I would have the chance to be in an animated movie. It's good also to show the world my sweet side with them."
Scott's co-star Nicki Minaj recently said it was an honour to lend her voice to the animated comedy.
Ice Age 4: Continental Drift opens in the US and UK on July 13.
