The original film starred Sarah Jessica Parker, Bette Midler, Eerie Indiana actor Omri Katz and a young Thora Birch.

It told the story of a trio of evil witches bent on capturing all the children in a sleepy New England town.
According to Moviehole, the new sequel will be called Hocus Pocus 2: Rise of the Elderwitch.
There is no word yet on whether the original stars or original director Kenny Ortega will be returning to the project.
The film is reportedly in the early stages of development, and is expected for release in early 2013.
