A new teaser for the upcoming remake of RoboCop has been released.
Joel Kinnaman has been tapped to take on the title role first made famous by Peter Weller in the original 1987 film.
The new movie is to be helmed by Elite Squad director José Padilha, and will also star Gary Oldman, Samuel L Jackson and Abbie Cornish.
The new teaser is a faux-ad for the fictional weapons company Omnicorp, promoting futuristic technology designed to protect cities.
As Entertainment Weekly reports, the teaser features an updated version of the ED-209 from the original movie, as well as brief shots of the new RoboCop armour.
RoboCop is scheduled for release on August 9, 2013.
