Sir Roger Moore has made a plea for a "caring" buyer to take on the Elstree Film Studios in London.
The world famous production site - which has seen hits including Star Wars and Indiana Jones pass through its doors - has been put on the market by Hertsmere Borough Council.
However, to bring the world-famous facilities back to their former glory a large amount of cash is required to continue work done by the authority.
Now Sir Roger, an ex-James Bond and British film icon, has added his voice to those hoping for a another sympathetic owner.
The star said: "Hertsmere Council extended it a lifeline when it needed it most, and invested heavily.
"Now that they are seeking to pass on the ownership, I hope that an equally passionate and caring owner can be found, and help take the studio into one of the most exciting periods of film and new media production."
