Nathan Fillion in Joss Whedon's 'Much Ado About Nothing' - pictures

Nathan Fillion has featured in new photos from Much Ado About Nothing.

The Castle actor will star in the upcoming William Shakespeare adaptation from Joss Whedon.

The Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Firefly creator has directed a low-budget modern-day version of the comedy play.

The film's ensemble cast also includes regular Whedon collaborators such as Amy Acker (Angel), Alexis Denisof (Buffy/Angel), Fran Kranz (Dollhouse), Sean Maher (Firefly), Ashley Johnson (Dollhouse), Tom Lenk (Buffy) and Clark Gregg (The Avengers).

Much Ado About Nothing is shot in black-and-white, and will debut at the Toronto Film Festival next month.

Fillion recently teased the project, stating: "I had never done Shakespeare before. I actually tried to chicken out of it. I had to work a lot of late nights for Castle and there was just so much dialogue, too much to memorise."
