A new trailer for Playing for Keeps has been released.
It shows star Gerard Butler as a retired footballer trying to find some purpose in his life.
George Dryer (Butler) is an irresponsible, deadbeat dad who finds himself coaching his young son's football team as his ex-wife (Jessica Biel) prepares to marry another man.
The film also stars Uma Thurman, Dennis Quaid and Catherine Zeta-Jones.
The Pursuit of Happyness director Gabriele Muccino helmed the film.
Butler participated in Soccer Aid earlier in the year.
Playing for Keeps will arrive in US cinemas on December 7, and in the UK on February 1, 2013.
