The actress is considered one of the top picks to play Anastasia Steele in the adaptation of EL James's erotic novel, but during a recent interview she revealed that she hasn't read the book.
While appearing on Watch What Happens Live, a caller asked Kendrick if she'd be up for taking on the risqué role.
"I haven't read it," she said.
The caller refused to back down, telling Kendrick: "Who wouldn't want to be tied up by a hot guy, right?"
The actress was visibly shocked by the caller's words, whispering: "What?"
Kendrick, who previously appeared in The Twilight Saga, confessed in May that she considers it a relief not to appear in the final film.
