Colin Farrell, Sam Rockwell and Christopher Walken star in the first trailer for Seven Psychopaths.
The second feature from In Bruges writer-director Martin McDonagh centres on a struggling screenwriter (Farrell) who becomes wrapped up in Los Angeles's criminal underbelly after his less law-abiding best friends (Rockwell and Walken) kidnap a gangster's beloved dog.
The trailer sees the trio on the run in California's Joshua Tree desert
Woody Harrelson stars as the psychotic gangster, while Tom Waits, Olga Kurylenko and Abbie Cornish round out the black comedy's supporting cast.
Mickey Rourke was originally cast in Harrelson's role, but dropped out last year and went on to call McDonagh "a jerkoff".
Seven Psychopaths will be released in the US on October 12, and December 7 in the UK.
