The actor discussed reports that Nicolas Cage, Harrison Ford and Clint Eastwood are in talks for the third instalment in the action franchise, saying he'd love to see all three actors join the film.
"I think they should all turn up," Statham told MTV News.
"I'm a massive Clint Eastwood fan and have been forever; he's in the realm of Arnold and Sly for me," he went on, comparing Eastwood to co-stars Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone.
Statham went on to say that he'd be thrilled to return for a third movie himself.
"I'd be fine doing a third [movie]," he said. "I've got a few left in me, I think."
