According to The Hollywood Reporter, Akinnuoye-Agbaje will play Algrim the Strong, an accomplice of the lead villain Malekith, to be played by Christopher Eccleston.

Kat Dennings has also signed on to reprise her role in the Thor sequel, which will also feature the return of star Chris Hemsworth in the title role.
Akinnuoye-Agbaje is best known for his parts in G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, The Killer Elite, and ABC's Lost.
He will next be seen in Sylvester Stallone's upcoming action thriller Bullet to the Head.
Thor: The Dark World is expected to be released in 2013.
