Nate Parker has entered talks for Oldboy.

The actor is in line for a role in Spike Lee's remake of the celebrated Korean revenge thriller, reports Variety.

Parker will play a doctor who works with Elizabeth Olsen's character in the film.

The new version of the Chan-wook Park original stars Josh Brolin as a man who is locked away for years with no comprehension of why.

Upon his sudden release, he sets out to have revenge for the lost years of his life.

Sharlto Copley will play the movie's villain, with Samuel L Jackson recently signing on for a brief but important cameo.

Parker featured in Lee's recent Red Hook Summer.

He was last seen in Red Tails, and will next appear in Ain't Them Bodies Saints and Arbitrage.
