Daniel Craig's 'Skyfall' to be second-longest James Bond movie

By and Simon Reynolds
The running time for Skyfall has been revealed.

Sam Mendes's upcoming 23rd James Bond film, which will mark Daniel Craig's third outing as the iconic spy, will be 142 minutes long and carry a 12A certificate for "moderate action violence and one use of strong language," says the BBFC.

This would make Skyfall the second-longest Bond film to date, narrowly falling behind the 144-minute running time for Craig's 2006 debut Casino Royale.

Daniel Craig recently revealed that he is finding it more difficult to do shirtless scenes in the Bond movies.

"It's going to be harder and harder the older I get," he said. "It's just fun. There's enough sexiness in the movie with the girls - and hopefully me as well - but it's a little bit of a gag now."

Judi Dench will reprise her role as M alongside Craig in the London-based Skyfall, while new cast members include Javier Bardem, Ralph Fiennes, Ben Whishaw and Naomie Harris.

Skyfall is released on October 26 in the UK, and November 9 in the US.
