Sean Bean to star in 'Scorched Earth'

Sean Bean has reportedly signed on to star in the upcoming post-apocalyptic film Scorched Earth.

The action drama, written by Bobby Mort and Kevin Leeson, will be directed by 24 helmer Brad Turner.

According to Deadline, Bean will play Atticus Gage, a bounty hunter going after a dangerous criminal on an environmentally ravaged Earth.

Bean recently starred in an episode of Accused, where he played a transvestite.

He wrapped filming on Silent Hill: Revelation 3D earlier this year, as well as Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters.

Following those movies, he will be seen in the action horror film The 4th Reich.
