The actress, who plays super soldier Alice, promised in a new interview that the latest Resident Evil movie features some of the most impressive fight scenes in the franchise's history
"This is definitely the most action-packed so far. I mean, literally one of our smallest fights had over 100 choreographed moves," Jovovich said, according to Flicks and Bits. "It was pretty intense."
Jovovich also praised the work of her husband - Resident Evil: Retribution writer-director Paul WS Anderson, who previously helmed other movies in the franchise.
"The one thing that I was really happy about when Paul wrote the script was... we watch a lot of action films together, and to see especially what not to do, and sometimes what we love and wanna exemplify," she explained.
"But, one thing we were in agreement on was that we watched quite a few movies where there was a lot of great action, but you didn't really care because you had no empathy for the character who was in the midst of this danger."
She went on to say: "So I thought it was really great how Paul wrote the 'suburban' Alice character with the child, because suddenly it really brings it home to people, it becomes much more relatable and the stakes have risen now. So you have a lot more empathy for Alice having to deal with protecting this child on top of everything else that is going on.
"So I thought that was great because suddenly the action sequences become that much more powerful because you care about the people in them."
Jovovich previously compared her appearances in the Resident Evil series to a wild "adventure".
