Clint Eastwood's latest film Letters from Iwo Jima has won the top prize at another award ceremony.
After topping the US National Board of Review list for best film last week, the production has been named the best film of 2006 by Los Angeles film critics.
The film is the second directed by Eastwood this year, and tells the story of how Japan defended the island of Iwo Jima in World War II.
His other film, released just two months ago, is in the same setting but from the point of view of the American soldiers.
Other winners included Helen Mirren who won best actress for The Queen, and Sacha Baron Cohen who jointly won the best actor prize for his character Borat.
The Los Angeles Critics award will be handed out on January 14.
