Timberlake told ET Online that during a scene on a frozen lake in the movie, he began to lose consciousness as a result of the extreme cold, and only came to after Adams surprised him with a kiss.

"We shot the scene in the Blue Ridge Mountains and the water was just below 50 degrees. It was freezing," Timberlake explained.

"Amy actually saved my life. Unbeknownst to me, I was turning blue and couldn't process a thought, so she actually saved my life. I owe Amy Adams my life."

In response to Timberlake's story, Adams said: "Some people call it mouth-to-mouth, some people call it kissing - any way, it's nice work if you can get it!"

Trouble with the Curve comes out September 21 in the US and November 30 in the UK.
