Brits pick up Golden Globe nominations

A number of Britons have won Golden Globe nominations.
Three UK stars will fight for the best actress award, with Dame Helen Mirren nominated for The Queen, Dame Judi Dench for Notes On A Scandal and Kate Winslet for Little Children.
Sacha Baron Cohen, meanwhile, has been given two chances at success with nominations for best actor in a comedy and best comedy for Borat. Fellow Briton Chiwetel Ejiofor is also competing for the actor title for his part in Kinky Boots.
The Queen, about the actions of the nation's elite following Princess Diana's death, was put forward for best picture and its creator Stephen Frears is up for best director.
Hugh Laurie was nominated for best performance in a TV drama series for his role in US show House, while Irish-born Peter O'Toole is up for best actor in a drama for Venus.
Dame Helen won another two nominations in the best actress in a TV miniseries or movie category, for her roles in TV mini-series Elizabeth I and in Prime Suspect: The Final Act.
