Renee Zellweger has responded to criticism of her portrayal of Beatrix Potter in biopic movie Miss Potter.
The actress has admitted that she expected more controversy to surround her latest role than she experienced with Bridget Jones because of the fondness that people have for the author.
"I guess the difference was there are clearly more people to disappoint," Renee explained. "I won't say that [Bridget Jones' creator] Helen Fielding didn't create a character that was embraced by British culture, but Beatrix was a part of the fibre of British literature in a very substantial way."
