'Mummy 3' being made for next year?
Published Wednesday, Jan 10 2007, 14:30 GMT | By David Cribb
Director Rob Cohen is in talks with Universal Pictures with a view to making a third film in The Mummy series.
Cohen has been working closely with writers Alfred Gough and Miles Millar on developing the script for the next instalment of the franchise, and is now doing his best to persuade the production company to put the movie out.
It is thought that both Brendan Frazer and Rachel Weisz are considering continuing their lead roles from the previous films, although this is currently unconfirmed.
The third Mummy film is being scheduled for release in summer of next year.
