According to The Guardian, the British director is going to write and direct a film about the aftermath of the American-led invasion of Iraq.
The film will focus on those that worked for the Coalition Provisional Authority that administered Iraq after the removal of Saddam Hussein's government.
Greengrass has long been critical of the Iraq war, according to Variety, describing it as "the most calamitous decision of our generation".
He has also tackled a number of controversial topics previously, such as Bloody Sunday which dealt with the situation in Northern Ireland, and his BAFTA-winning TV film the Murder of Stephen Lawrence.
