The Black List screenplay was written by Paranormal Activity's Michael R Perry.
Satrapi is the writer and artist of the acclaimed autobiographical graphic novel Persepolis, and co-director on the animated movie adaptation.
Reynolds was recently seen in Safe House and will next appear in comic book adaptation R.I.P.D.
