William Hill, for the first time in over 20 years, has decided to pay out on the Oscar bets before the ceremony even takes place.
A spokesperson for the company told the BBC that the decision was not an easy one, but that almost all of the bets placed were placed on Mirren, and should she not be awarded the accolade William Hill would be hit hard financially.
