The first teaser trailer for Carrie has been unveiled.
The 60-second clip zooms in slowly on burning buildings, revealing a blood-spattered Carrie (Chloë Moretz) standing at the centre of the chaos.
The first poster for Carrie was released on Monday (October 15), featuring the tagline "you will know her name".
Boys Don't Cry director Kimberly Peirce's remake of the classic horror movie also stars Julianne Moore as Carrie's mother Margaret. The cast also includes Gabriella Wilde (St Trinian's 2: The Legend of Fritton's Gold) as Sue Snell and Judy Greer as gym teacher Miss Desjardin.
Greer has said that Moretz's performance moved her to tears during filming.
Carrie is based on Stephen King's novel, and the script for the remake has been written by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa (Big Love, Spider-Man: Turn off the Dark).
The movie is due to be released on March 15, 2013.
