Kristen Stewart 'pushed for Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner casting'

Kristen Stewart has said that she was keen for Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner to win their respective roles in Twilight.

Speaking to MTV, Stewart joked that she was partly responsible for the actors' rise to fame as Edward Cullen and Jacob Black in the vampire drama.

Stewart has since reconciled with Pattinson, and the couple were joined by co-star Taylor Lautner as they chatted to MTV about the franchise finale, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2.

"I take credit for both of these guys actually, fully and completely," she said.

Lautner also revealed that he had no real idea of the material when he auditioned for Twilight.

"It was just so generic. It just felt like any other audition," he explained.

"I had no idea what Twilight was. I asked people. I said, 'What is this thing?' They said, 'There's vampires, and you're in a forest'. That's really all I heard about it."

Breaking Dawn - Part 2, the final film in the Twilight movie saga, will open in cinemas on November 16.
