Wild Hogs debuts at the top of the US box office this week, taking just shy of $40m in the first three days.

The adventure comedy, which stars Tim Allen and John Travolta, dominated the weekend, considerably beating another debutant into second place. Zodiac took around a third of the amount of its rival, settling at $13.4m.

Last week's top dog Ghost Rider finished in third this time around, while Samuel L Jackson's new release Black Snake Moan only made it to number 8, grossing around $4m.
