In an interview with Reuters, Silverman disclosed that she identifies with being an outcast like Vanellope.

"I relate to everything about her. I know this girl," Silverman insisted.

The comic went on to suggest that Wreck-It-Ralph's message of acceptance will be empowering for children.

"The scrappiness and the feeling of being on the outside, looking in and wanting to play [is hard]," she explained. "What we are most ashamed of - the 'glitch' in each of us - can be our super power, our greatest asset, if we let it."

Silverman's co-star John C Reilly recently praised Wreck-It-Ralph's director and crew for making the animation process as collaborative as possible for the voice actors.

Wreck-It-Ralph is now playing in the US and opens on February 15, 2013 in the UK.
