The actor said at the Los Angeles premiere of the film that he was one of the only cast members not to sustain injuries during filming, Yahoo! Movies reports.
"I didn't have anything wrong with me, I'm like, the only one in the whole cast," he explained.
"Kristen broke, like, two thumbs, Ashley did something, Elizabeth Reaser fell over, everybody almost went blind one day when they got the wrong solution for the contact lenses."
The scene was described as 'the biggest challenge' by director Bill Condon.
Condon added: "The big [battle] on the field, 120 vampires get together and we shot it for like, two months or so. These great actors turned into extras, because it was just one person at a time!"
Pattinson, 26, said it was "crazy that they actually had the balls to do it".
When asked about how the film conflicts with Stephanie Meyer's novel, he noted that this movie is the most different.
"We haven't deviated this much from the book in the other movies, so we hope you like it."
