The sequel to 2009's Nativity sees Tennant play the roles of twin brothers Donald and Roderick Peterson, choir masters from radically different schools who both enter groups into a national Christmas singing competition.
Tennant was joined at the premiere by co-stars Dionne Bromfield, Joanna Page, Jessica Hynes and Marc Wootton.
Nativity 2: Danger in the Manger will be released in UK cinemas on November 23.
