'Spider-Man 2': Sam Claflin, Eddie Redmayne testing for Harry Osborn?

The search for an actor to play Harry Osborn in the Amazing Spider-Man sequel has reportedly been narrowed to at least four candidates.

Sam Claflin, Eddie Redmayne, Douglas Booth and Boyd Holbrook filmed screen tests on Monday (November 19), according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Sony has declined to comment on the speculation.

Claflin was recently cast in the key role of Finnick Odair in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. His previous film credits include Snow White and the Huntsman and Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.

Redmayne will soon be seen as Marius in Les Misérables and has also appeared in movies including My Week with Marilyn and Elizabeth: The Golden Age.

Booth is currently working on Darren Aronofsky's biblical epic Noah and has also been cast opposite Hailee Steinfeld in Carlo Carlei's forthcoming take on William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet.

Holbrook made his movie debut in biopic Milk and will soon be seen in The Host. His television credits include Hatfields & McCoys and The Big C.

Harry, who is introduced as Peter Parker's best friend but ultimately takes a darker path, was played by James Franco in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy.

The Amazing Spider-Man sequel will reunite Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone as Peter Parker/Spider-Man and Gwen Stacey, with Shailene Woodley (The Descendants) joining the cast as Mary Jane Watson.
