"My brother and I have begun Nemesis... This script is gonna be a beast," he wrote.

Carnahan - who recently dropped out of the Daredevil reboot at Fox - will direct Nemesis, which tells the story of police chief Blake Morrow who becomes the target of a supervillain.

Liam Neeson was previously linked with the role of Blake Morrow, but his involvement with the project has not been officially confirmed.

Nemesis is one of several Millar comic books undergoing cinematic adaptation, with Kick-Ass 2 due out next year and Matthew Vaughn working on The Secret Service.
