James Corden has signed on for an upcoming Christmas comedy movie.

The Gavin & Stacey actor will star in School For Santas, which is under development from Working Title.

Corden will reunite on the project with One Man, Two Guvnors playwright Richard Bean, who will write the screenplay. A director has yet to be announced.

School For Santas follows an unlucky father who needs to discover his "inner Father Christmas" to win back the confidence of his children.

Shooting will commence in 2013 in New York and London. It will be produced by Kick-Ass's Kris Thykier.

James Corden will also star in Can a Song Save Your Life? opposite Keira Knightley, and Paul Potts biopic One Chance in the lead role.

He has also been linked with a big-screen version of Stephen Sondheim's Into the Woods alongside Meryl Streep.

Corden will interview Robbie Williams in support of the singer's three gigs at London's O2 Arena on Saturday, November 24 at 9pm on Sky1.
