Sir Ridley Scott's Wool has signed J Blakeson as its director.

The Disappearance of Alice Creed helmer will direct the sci-fi movie, reports Vulture.

Prometheus filmmaker Scott is attached as producer to the project.

Based on Hugh Howey's self-published bestseller, the film is set in a series of subterranean silos where the last remaining human inhabitants of a post-Apocalyptic Earth battle for survival.

It focuses on characters living in Silo-18 who slowly come to understand the mysteries of the home.

Blakeson is also attached to direct The Imitation Game and the Bradley Cooper-starring Bad Blood and Trouble.
