Russell Crowe to make directing debut

Russell Crowe is to going make is his directing debut with a film about an gang of Australian surfers.
The film, reportedly to be named Bra Boys after the name of the gang it portrays, is to based on a real-life story.
It will be set in the Sydney district of Maroubra and will feature the gang renowned for their anti-establishment attitude.
At the centre of the film will be the Abberton brothers, one of whom was accused of murder in 2003. The charge was dropped in 2005 after his brother withheld information about the case.
According to Variety, the film is to be scripted by writer Stuart Beattie, who wrote the screenplay for both Collateral and Pirates Of The Caribbean.
