Billy Crystal: 'People are excited for Parental Guidance'

Billy Crystal has said he is looking forward to the release of Parental Guidance, his first live-action film in more than two years.

The comic revealed USA Today that his own excitement for the family comedy has been mirrored by his loyal fans.


"They get a smile when they see the poster," Crystal explained to the newspaper. "I've watched them. They don't see me in the lobby of the movie theater.

"I was down in Battery Park the other night and there were people stopped in front of our poster. And I heard, 'Oh, I love them'. So here we are."

Parental Guidance also features Bette Midler, who Crystal described as his ultimate big screen co-star.



"We are like a pair of old shoes. They just fit," he joked.

Parental Guidance - which also stars Marisa Tomei and Tom Everett Scott - opens on Christmas Day in the US and on Boxing Day in the UK.
