The actor declared this week that he is really looking forward to starting work on Anchorman: The Legend Continues.

"We're all coming back – it starts shooting in the spring," he told Access Hollywood. "I'm very excited for it."

Rudd also joked that he's already begun growing out his hair to don Brian Fantana's feathered quiff in the Anchorman sequel.

"This is why my hair looks like John Taylor from Duran Duran right now," he teased. "By the time we start shooting Anchorman, hopefully it'll be in a place that will fit the time period."

Vince Vaughn is also likely to reprise the role of Ron Burgundy's arch-nemesis Wes Mantooth, with Christina Applegate also tipped to return.

The original Anchorman film was released in 2004.
