Sony has released the first trailer for The Smurfs 2.
The sequel is helmed by returning director Raja Gosnell.
The Smurfs 2 will follow the CGI creatures on a mission with the help of their human friends to find Smurfette after she is taken by their evil nemesis Gargamel.
The cast includes returning actors Neil Patrick Harris and Jayma Mays, as confirmed by Collider.
Sofia Vergara, Christina Ricci, singer Katy Perry, Hank Azaria, Anton Yelchin and more are also part of the voice cast for the family film.
The Smurfs 2 is set for release in both the US and the UK on July 31 2013.
The Smurfs 3 is said to be already underway.
