Lee Child interview: 'Jack Reacher sequel could be Worth Dying For'

Lee Child has hinted that a sequel to Jack Reacher will be set in a rural landscape.

The British author, whose book One Shot forms the basis of the new Tom Cruise thriller, told Digital Spy that The Hard Way or Worth Dying For could be the next Reacher novels adapted for the screen.


"Having seen Jack Reacher in an urban situation, shot in Pittsburgh, gritty. I think we should do a rural one. One of the empty landscape ones," Child said.

"The Hard Way ends up there, it started out in New York.

"There's plenty... Worth Dying For for instance is all in Nebraska, just complete emptiness.

"I think one of those would work fine. I'm just thrilled that they're even talking about the possibility of doing another one."

Jack Reacher opens in cinemas on December 26.
