'Beautiful Creatures': Romance blossoms in first TV spot - watch

Beautiful Creatures has debuted its first TV spot.

The advert shows the first encounter between Alice Englert and Alden Ehrenreich's Lena Duchannes and Ethan Wate.



Set in the deep south, the film centres around a family of witches who are caught in a struggle between good and evil.

As Lena finds herself falling in love with Ethan, she is also faced with the choice of whether to dedicate her powers to the light or darkness.

Jeremy Irons, Emma Thompson, Viola Davis, Emmy Rossum, Thomas Mann and Zoey Deutch also star in the Warner Bros movie.

Richard LaGravenese has written and directed the film based on the first of a five-part series of books by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl.

Beautiful Creatures will debut in the UK and US on February 13, 2013.
